Dogwarts University was where Gromit went to college. The school's name is a play on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the Harry Potter universe.

- In The Grand Getaway, the photograph of Dogwarts is featured, but censored to say "Hotdog University". This was likely to prevent copyright or trademark infringement, but could have also been to avoid any assumption of affiliation with or endorsement of Potter creator JK Rowling, who had made many controversial comments that do not align with Aardman's brand values[1] between the gaps of the photo's two appearances.
