Bake-O-Lite is a brand featured in A Matter of Loaf and Death that produces bread and baked goods. The spokeswoman of the company was the late Piella Bakewell, who rode in the Bake-O-Lite Balloon. Their brand slogan is "the thin slice". But after Piella ate too much bread and other baked goods, she was fired as the Bake-O-Lite Girl for being overweight, as the balloon couldn't hold her up, which caused her to have a grudge against not just the company, but about every baker around, vowing to kill them all.
