The goods train is a train that appears in the climax of Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, taking away Feathers McGraw.

Description[]

The train consists of a small 0-6-0 shunting tank engine hauling goods like Madame Butter Pies and coal in vans and open trucks.

History[]

Feathers lands onto one of the trucks from the goods train via umbrella after his confrontation with Wallace and Gromit. Believing to have gotten away with the Blue Diamond, he then discovers to his shock that Gromit had performed another switcheroo of the diamond with a turnip. He rides the train over the Yorkshire border, free yet defeated.

Trivia[]

  • Feathers leaving on this train into obscurity reflects the toy train chase in The Wrong Trousers. Both trains also lack a brake van.
    • Feathers using an umbrella to land on the train could be a reference to the Mary Poppins character, who can float around with an umbrella, and/or the Penguin character from Batman, who also uses an umbrella.
  • Madame Butter Pies seem to be a reference to both Lancashire butter pies and Madame Butterfly.
  • The engine pulling the train bears a resemblance to an LNER J72 Class 0-6-0 tank engine, formerly classified as NER E1s. One example that's still around is No. 69023, given the name 'Joem'.
